Two days were definitely required to recover from the epic weekend we just experienced! I am working on my race recaps, but I had a great time at the Disneyland Half Marathon weekend despite the high temperatures! I can definitely understand what I’ve read about this being the best race weekend at Disneyland – it definitely lived up to the hype. And I’m experiencing all of the post Disney blues right now, ready to plan our next Disney adventure.
However, I am glad that this half marathon is behind me – and I can start concentrating on shorter distances for a while. Roswell and I have (jokingly, but not jokingly) made a deal that if I can place in Corral A for a Disney race, he would stop and all of the character photos I would want. Since I placed in corrals G and F this race, I’ve got QUITE a bit of work to do.
Monday 8/28: Rest
We had planned to go to the gym on campus, but Roswell texted me that there was a crazy line to just get into the gym and then every piece of equipment had a line of 3 to 4 people. Thank you, first day of classes and people who are motivated. We will have to wait a few weeks until that motivation wears off 😉
