Stitch Fix 41Hawthorn Tova Dress [via 3 Black Cat Co.]

Stitch Fix No. 18 – August 2016

Yes, I know that it’s now September – but I did receive this Stitch Fix last month and I wanted to make sure to share it with you all! Since Roswell and I have moved to the East Coast, one of the things I’m most looking forward to is some cooler fall weather! Fall didn’t really exist in Austin. Bring on the sweaters, hot coffee and fall leaves! I asked my stylist Natalia for some interview ready pieces since I’m job hunting, but also items that will be great to wear in the fall!

Item #1: Staccato Dinah Open Front Cardigan

While I have a similar open front cardigan also from Stitch Fix, this one was a much lighter knit and I absolutely loved that about this particular piece. I can definitely see myself wearing this with a tee and leggings or with a pencil skirt this fall.

VERDICT: Keep!

Item #2: Daniel Rainn Brett Lattice Detail Top

I really liked the detailing at the top of this blouse and loved the fall appropriate mustard color. But when I tried it on, I felt just okay about it. Since I’m on budget right now, I decided to only keep things that I absolutely loved.

VERDICT: Return

Item #3: Pixley Noelia Bar Back Blouse

I love that this blouse would be something I could wear to work with a cardigan and then out afterwards. The top was a bit small for me though, and the buttons pulled when I put it on. Oh well.

VERDICT: Return

Item #4: 41Hawthorn Tova Dress

Are you one of those people that sneak a peek at what their stylist has sent before the box arrives? I totally am. I love to know what’s coming. But when I saw this one, I thought I was immediately going to dislike it. Like there was no way I would be keeping this one. Teaches me to discount Stitch Fix – and that’s why I love this service. Because I would have never tried anything like this on in a store and it ended up being one of my favorite pieces. So much in fact, that I immediately wore the dress out to dinner with friends the day following getting my fix. You know that’s a good piece when you want to wear it right away!

VERDICT: Keep, duh!

Item #5: Liverpool Hanna Skinny Pant

These were great pants – super comfy and I loved the texture of the pattern. Again, since I was on a budget this month, I wasn’t able to keep them. But I don’t think I would hesitate to keep them if I wasn’t on a budget!

VERDICT: Return

What are you favorite Fall Stitch Fixes you’ve seen?

If you haven’t tried Stitch Fix yet, I totally encourage you to try at least once. There is a $20 stylist fee that is applied to whatever you purchase in that fix and I have always bought at least one item in my fixes. Visit Stitch Fix to fill out your own style profile.
